Good News Special Worship Services |
Many studies have showed the
extreme importance of a healthy functioning faith and supportive
community in
promoting mental/physical health, happy marriages, and family stability. We encourage you
to seek a place of worship where you feel you can make a regular commitment.
While Good News, Inc. does NOT endorse or recommend any particular church or
denomination, we offer the web hyperlinks below (click right) to help you locate
a church in your area where you feel comfortable with the beliefs and feel
supported by the pastor and people. Whether you are seeking a church for the
first time OR have relocated to a new area, we encourage you to try different
places of worship until you can find a church that seems a "good fit" at this
time in your life where you feel nurtured, supported, and respected. While this
can be a lengthy and time consuming process, the rewards are enormous.

The
Good News Memorial Healing
and Prayer Gardens were dedicated in September of 2001 in memory of those who
were injured or lost on September 11, 2001 and to all courageous healers who
minister in times of need.. The beautiful gazebo is a place
of refuge, meditation, and
prayer and is surrounded by educational gardens that host a large variety of
healing herbs and plants including St. John's Wort, Echinacea, Rosemary, Hyssop,
Wormwood, Sage, Lavender, Basil, Rhododendron, Dandelion, Red Clover, Pansy,
Marigold, Thyme, and Yarrow. Many of these herbs and plants are referred to in
the Bible and were used in ancient times for healing. While specializing in
plants that enhance mental health, the gardens offer a holistic viewpoint with
herbs that offer healing to the entire body. The Healing Garden commemorates the
life of Virginia Miller Boatman, one of the original incorporator of Good News (1920-2000).
