REV. DR. MARY JOHNSON, TH.M., D.MIN.

Dr. Johnson is currently acting as Educational Consultant to Good News. She brings extensive experience to her position. She has served Good News in many capacities over the years including Executive Director. Her Doctor of Ministry Degree in Psychology and Clinical Studies from Andover Newton is unique in its integrative emphasis on psychology, clinical work, and theology. A Master's Degree from Boston University School of Theology combined a Dual Integrative Major in Pastoral Counseling and Biblical Studies. Psychology, history, and education were areas of concentration for a B. S. from Black Hills University of South Dakota. Dr. Johnson has served on the counseling staff of New England Memorial Hospital and Middleton Pastoral Counseling Center in Mass. and Renew Counseling Center in N.H. She also has extensive parish experience and has pastored in Congregational, Methodist, and Assembly of God churches and  preaches in varied denominational New Hampshire churches. In addition, Dr. Johnson has worked in Hospital Chaplaincy at Bon Secours Hospital and Tewksbury State in Mass. and was appointed to the Clinical and supervisory Staff for the training of Chaplain Interns while at Tewksbury. Dr. Johnson is a Nationally Board Certified Counselor (N.C.C.) and is a Certified Member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (APCC). She has been certified as a Clinical Member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (A.C.P.E.) and is a N.H. State Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She has been included in Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals and Who's Who In Religion. She is a member of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. Rev. Johnson has served as an Ordained Minister since 1975. She has extensive educational, teaching, and clinical supervisory experience.  She is skilled in evaluations, assessments, clinical diagnosis, treatment planning and individual, family, marital, and group counseling. Dr. Johnson is the author of numerous sermons and articles posted on the Good News web site.

REV. PATRICIA A. RAINEY, M.Ed., C.A.G.S.

Rev. Rainey has served at Good News as Educational Director and Chaplain. She is currently retired and is the author of devotionals, sermons, and articles posted on our Web Site. She offers diversity, flexibility, and extensive experience in professional mental health work. Her B.S., M.Ed., and C.A.G.S. were all completed at the University of New Hampshire in Psychology and Counseling. Ms. Rainey is a Licensed Guidance Counselor and Certified Teacher in New Hampshire and has had extensive counseling experience in the public schools and as a staff member of Renew Counseling Center in New Hampshire. She has served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Cleveland State College in Tennessee. Rev. Rainey is the Author of "Illusions: A Journey Into Perception" which received critical acclaim. She is the recipient of a Ford Foundation Grant and holds credentials as a Nationally Certified Counselor with the N.B.C.C. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (A.C.A.) and has been listed in Who's Who. She is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and has also served as Director of Green Pastures Counseling Center in Dover, NH.

SU MCKINNON,  M.Ed.
 

Su McKinnon has served in varied positions including Counseling Director at Good News . She has a strong background in Family Systems, Individual, Family, and Marital Counseling, Conflict Resolution, and Anger Management. She specializes in working with children, families, and adults. She holds an Associate Degree in Mental Health from Greenfield Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology and Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master's of Education Degree in Counseling from Keene State College.  She has taught religious education for 10 years and sits on several non-profit Boards of Directors on both the state and local level. Her memberships have included The American Association of Christian Counselors (A.A.C.C.), New Hampshire School Counselors Association (N.H.S.C.A.), American Counseling Association (A.C.A.), and the American Psychological Association (A.P.A.). She is a certified Eucharistic Lay Minister in the Catholic Church and has been certified in Alcohol Education. She has done extensive work  with adolescent substance abusers and their families and is skilled in counseling in diverse areas including depression, anxiety, and stress disorders. She is currently on the counseling staff of Catholic Charities in New Hampshire.

LISA WETTIG, B.A., M.A.C.
 

Lisa has served at Good News as a Clinical Christian Counselor. She offers a diverse background with a Master’s degree specializing in Christian Counseling from Cincinnati Bible College inLisa 002.jpg (46757 bytes) Cincinnati, Ohio and a B.A. in Psychology from Mt. Holyoke in S. Hadley, MA. She has worked in Clinical Christian Counseling in Kentucky and Ohio and served as a Youth Minister at Price Hill Baptist Church in Ohio. She has also done work at Northern Kentucky Alcohol and Drug Council in Florence, Kentucky. She specializes in women’s issues, marriage and family counseling, children, parenting, spiritual issues, and DSM IV-R clinical disorders. She is trained in Intakes and Assessments and is a member of the American Counseling Association. Lisa has a diverse denominational background and has been actively involved in Presbyterian, Baptist, Vineyard, Church of Christ, and Evangelical Free Churches.

STAFF INTERNS

Numerous well-qualified graduate level counselors have been accepted at Good News over the past 20+ years on the basis of promise and commitment and have served as Counseling Interns  when involved in Graduate School Psychology and Counseling Professional Programs. All Interns have a Bachelor’s Degree and counseling experience and have been under extensive weekly supervision. They have been well qualified for counseling in a wide variety of areas and offered diversity and depth. We are grateful for the contributions they have made to this ministry.  Good News is currently not accepting new interns as we have ceased to offer direct clinical counseling services.

ELIZABETH BORCHERS, BA
Administrative Consultant

Elizabeth has ministered in a diversity of work settings and is skilled in non-profit management, computer technology, religious education, prayer group leadership, and church secretarial work.  She has earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Colby College in Waterville, Maine and has served in non-denominational, Methodist, and Assemblies of God ministry settings. She offers unique abilities in non-profit management and brings compassion and competency to any area she is involved in. She has served at Good News as Clinical Coordinator and Administrative Director.

Dr Francis Warman, Ph.D.

    Dr. Francis Warman holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in Psychology from the same university. He also was granted a B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He is a New Hampshire State Licensed Psychologist and is listed in the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology. He has served as the Clinical Director of the Monadnock Substance Abuse Services and as a Clinical Psychologist in diverse positions including Veterans Hospitals in Oklahoma City and Northport, New York. As a Captain in the U. S Army, he was appointed as a Psychologist at the West Point U.S. Army Hospital in New York. He has held positions as a professor and/or faculty member at Antioch New England Graduate School, St. Anselm's College, State University of New York at Stony Brook, Long Island University, University of New Hampshire at Manchester, NH, and the University of Manchester in England. He is a gifted musician and songwriter, and has released albums in both Great Britain and the United States. Dr. Warman has served at Good News as a Staff Psychologist specializing in testing and clinical assessments.
